Describe what you see. I see an old Coca Cola shack off a road that looks out of business. It looks out of business because there are no people there. The fence looks like it is breaking. Also, it is really by itself in the middle of nowhere.
What do you notice first? The first thing that I noticed was that the Coca Cola shack looks out of business. There is wood over the window, and it looks abandoned.
What people and objects are shown? No people are shown in this picture. In this picture there is and old fence and a Coca Cola shack. On the right of the shack there are two objects that look like chimneys. Also, in the top right corner of the picture there are telephone wires.
How are they arranged? Then fence comes first, then there is the Coca Cola shack, and finally there are the two "chimneys" on the right. In the foreground there is a dirt road, and in the background there are trees and far back on the right there appears to be two houses.
What is the physical setting? The physical setting is on a dirt road, and on a plain during the day.

What other details can you see? Other details that I can see are two houses on the right, two chimneys on the right, trees on the left, and telephone wires on the top right.

Why do you think this image was made? I think that this image was made to show that many stores and small businesses were going out of business. It shows how hard times were.
What’s happening in the image? In this image there isn't any human interaction, but there is a failed Coca Cola shack that was abandoned. It sits on the side of the road, untouched.
When do you think it was made? I think that it was made during the Great Depression because that was a very hard time for everyone.
Who do you think was the audience for this image? I think that the audience for this image were all Americans because it shows that they needed to do something or small businesses will fail and more and more people will become poor and out of work.
What tools were used to create this? Tools that were used to create this are a camera.
What can you learn from examining this image? From examining this image I can learn that it is important not to forget small businesses in corporate America. Many people rely on them to make a living, and they should not be discounted just because more large corporate stores are being built like Best Buy and Target.

If someone made this today, what would be different? If someone made this today it would be different because it would be in color, the road would not be made of dirt, and there would be more buildings and houses on the plain.
What would be the same? Things that would stay the same are the message and feeling people get when looking at it. That is because we are in a recession, and many small businesses are failing. People will get the same sad feeling when they see it.

Why do you think this image was made? I think that this image was made to show the hardships of the Great Depression. It shows that people were not only poor, but there wasn't enough food to go around. If things like this happened the price of food would go up, and people already couldn't afford it as it is.
